Over video call, we’ll chat about your speech: who you’re writing for, and what you want to say. I’ll also get a sense for how you speak naturally, which will help me write a speech that sounds like ‘you’.

I’ll go away to my writing cave, and write a speech that’ll hit all the right marks. We can go back-and-forth on revisions if needed, then I’ll give you rehearsal and delivery tips which will have you brimming with confidence.

How long does the process take, start to finish?
From the time you book your call to the time I deliver your finished speech or vows, the process usually takes around two weeks. But if you require a quicker turnaround than that, don’t hesitate to get in touch—I’ll do my best to work around your timelines.
How long will the speech or vows be?
When writing a wedding speech, I normally aim for around 5 minutes long. In my experience, that’s the perfect amount of time to deliver a crisp, heartfelt sentiment while leaving the audience wanting slightly more!
For vows, I aim to keep them around 2-3 minutes. Again, enough time to express your sentiment without going overboard.
I’m terrified of public speaking—is there any point in me using a speechwriter?
In my opinion, the more terrified you are, the more sensible it is to get help with this speech!
Not only will we fill the speech with content that you’ll be 100% confident to deliver, but I’ll give you proven rehearsal strategies to help you combat even the most debilitating nerves.
